What is high pressure ball valve ? High-pressure ball valve refers to the valve in which the opening and closing parts (balls) are driven by the valve stem and rotate around the axis of the valve stem .
Where does the high pressure ball valve use ? High pressure ball valve is mainly used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline, can also be used for fluid adjustment and control, among which the hard seal V ball valve has a strong shear force between its V-shaped ball core and the metal seat of surfacing cemented carbide, especially suitable for fiber-containing and tiny solid pellets and other media. The multi-way ball valve can not only flexibly control the merging, diversion, and flow direction switching of the medium on the pipeline, but also close any channel and connect the other two channels.
How it works ？ The high-pressure ball valve has a rotation action of 90 degrees, the stopcock body is a sphere, and there are circular through-holes or channels through its axis. The ball valve is mainly used in the pipeline to cut, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium, it only needs to rotate 90 degrees of operation and a small turning torque to close tightly. Ball valves are best suited for on/off and shut-off valves, but recent developments have designed ball valves to throttle and control flow, such as V-shaped ball valves.
The feature of high pressure ball valve : The main feature of the high-pressure ball valve is its compact structure, reliable sealing, simple structure, convenient maintenance, sealing surface and spherical surface are often in a closed state, not easy to be eroded by the medium, easy to operate and maintain, suitable for water, solvents, acid and natural gas and other general working media, but also suitable for working conditions of harsh media, such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene, etc., in various industries have been widely used. The ball valve body can be monolithic or combined.
The advantage of high pressure ball valve :
1. The fluid resistance is small, and the full-bore ball valve basically has no flow resistance.
2. Simple structure, small size, light weight.
3. Close and reliable. It has two sealing surfaces, and the sealing surface material of the ball valve makes extensive use of various plastics, which has good sealing performance and can achieve complete sealing. It is also widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy to operate, quick opening and closing, from full open to full off as long as the rotation is 90°, convenient for long-distance control.
5. Easy maintenance, simple structure of ball valve, sealing ring is generally active, disassembly and replacement are more convenient.
6. When fully open or closed, the sealing surface of the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium, and when the medium passes, it will not cause the erosion of the sealing surface of the valve.
7. Wide range of application, diameter from small to a few millimeters, large to several meters, from high vacuum to high pressure can be applied.
8. Because the ball valve has wiping during the opening and closing process, it can be used in media with suspended solid particles.
